Conservation in America, A Chart for Rough Water

On September 27th Gary E. Machlis, Ph.D., Professor of Environmental Sustainability at Clemson University, and Jonathan B. Jarvis, Executive Director for the University of California Berkeley's Institute for Parks, People, and Biodiversity, will be presenting on the state and future of Conservation in America. The event will take place at 4:00 PM in HPER East room 206.

 

Two other seminars will be presented earlier in the day in the Moot Court Classroom of the Old Law School Building.

Dr. Machlis will present the seminar "Navigating a Career in Academe" from 8:00 - 9:30 AM. This seminar is tailored for new faculty members of all disciplines. Dr. Machlis will examine different strategies that can help new faculty members foster a career in academe that is both rewarding and challenging.

"The Future of Parks and Protected Areas," presented by both Dr. Machlis and Jonathan Jarvis will take place at 10:30-11:45 AM.
