About RAPS

The Recreation and Park Society, or RAPS, is a student-run organization that operates in coordination with the Associated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU) as well as the University of Utah's Parks, Recreation and Tourism (PRT) department. RAPS is designed to help students that are interested in exploring a degree in, or are currently pursuing a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism, but is open to individuals of all majors. RAPS facilitates activities that help build connections and provides networking opportunities with fellow students and faculty members within the PRT department. Several events are held throughout the year and are designed to provide fun, networking opportunities, and help students develop professionally.

Our Vision

The Recreation and Park Society hopes to build a culture of fun and friendship among Parks, Recreation, and Tourism students at the University of Utah through quality events that allow students to gain lasting relationships and grow professional networks.

Our Mission

Our mission is to plan activities that get members of RAPS involved with fun and exciting opportunities to meet new people, as well as organize new and innovative ways for members to engage with professionals in their field.
