Overview of H EDU 5990

The purpose of the Internship/Preceptorship is to advance and enhance students' professional growth through integration of classroom theory with planned, supervised, and practical work experience relation to Health Promotion and Education. It is designed to be a partnership between you, your sponsor for the internship, and the Department of Health Promotion and Education at the University of Utah.

Through participation in an internship students learn to bridge the gap between theory of classroom work and practical application by performing meaningful work related to career interests, utilizing faculty counseling, receiving sponsor supervision and training, and accessing the possibilities of permanent employment. The internship experience will help students learn more about themselves, which may include both positive and challenging growth experiences.
