Explore different aspects of the clinical learning environment and acquire skills and techniques necessary to provide a structured and effective learning environment for students. Participants will learn to:
- Plan and prepare for students during their clinical education experience
- Support student learning through questioning and feedback
- Acquire performance evaluation skills
- Identify and manage students with exceptional situations
- Recognize legal implication for clinical educators, including issues presented by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
PT and PTA participants earn 1.6 CEUs. Clinicians from other health care professions receive 1.2 CEUs.
LEVEL 2 COURSES

Build on your clinical educator skills including advanced teaching techniques. Participants will learn to:
- Foster a student/resident’s learning along the novice-mastery clinical practice continuum
- Explicitly integrate professionalism, ethics, advocacy, and interprofessional collaboration into your teaching/mentoring.
- Diagnose and foster a learner’s clinical reasoning.
- Outline a structured clinical curriculum providing key learning experiences critical to patient-client management in the student/resident’s practice upon graduation and licensure.
PT and PTA participants earn 1.7 CEUs. Clinicians from other health care professions receive 1.3 CEUs.
