Christopher Long
Christopher Long is a Ph.D. student in the Cognitive and Motor Neuroscience research theme in the Department of Health & Kinesiology. Christopher completed his BS and MS in Kinesiology at Utah State University. His master’s research project investigated the potential of aquatic treadmill walking as a treatment for improving walking function in individuals with foot drop. Currently, Christopher is interested in exploring how wearable device interventions, such as footwear and prosthetics, can improve walking efficiency in young and older adults. Christopher’s research is driven by a desire to help individuals with movement disabilities to achieve greater independence and quality of life through enhanced mobility. He enjoys drawing, paddleboarding, playing pickleball, and spending time at home with his family.
