About Me
Laura is a Salt Lake City native who brings a unique blend of academic and athletic experience to her work as an academic advisor. She earned both her B.S. and M.S. in Economics while playing collegiate golf at the University of Idaho (she could talk about golf all day long). Her path into advising started with an internship in the University of Utah’s athletics department, but she quickly found her place in the College of Health, where she’s been working with students for the last two years. Laura loves helping students figure out what excites them and how to turn that into a meaningful academic journey. She sees the role of an advisor as someone who supports and guides students, while giving them the tools and confidence to shape their own academic path. Above all, she’s committed to creating a space where students feel comfortable, confident, and capable of reaching their goals.
