Dr. Kristen Black-Bain is a Board-certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy. She graduated with her DPT degree in 2010 from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. She has worked in the University of Utah outpatient neuro rehab clinic since 2010. Administrative roles since 2011 include clinic coordinator, interim manager, and lead physical therapist (current).

Dr. Black-Bain specializes in the treatment of non-progressive neurological diagnoses with the majority of her experience in the treatment of individuals with spinal cord injury, spinal related pathology/disease, and concussion. She has advanced certification in the treatment of individuals with vestibular disorders. Kristen has been involved in several research studies with multiple poster and platform presentations at a number of local and national conferences on various topics including robotics/technology in outpatient rehab, technology for improved gait, concussion baseline testing, spasticity management, and other related topics.

Dr. Black-Bain enjoys mentoring students and residents and is a credentialed Advanced Clinical Instructor through the APTA. She has been a faculty member in the Neuro residency program since 2011 and has participated in resident admissions, mentoring, and coordinating the resident outpatient experience.
