Cindy Metcalf is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor as well as a master instructor for Balanced Body.  Cindy has more than 20 years experience of teaching health and fitness.  Born out of need, her journey in the fitness world of teaching began with major injury. The world of cycling began her journey to recovery and also teaching.  She became an avid cyclist, touring much of Europe and the west coast on her bike in her early twenties.  She then began to compete and teach cycling through the spinning program and coaching with JR Smith and Jeff Louder.  CIndy began her career as a Personal Trainer in 1996 at the Sports Mall in Murray and loves helping others become stronger and more confident in their lives through healthier lifestyles and better movement.  Cindy gravitated from group fitness to pilates in 2002 and continues to teach pilates and cycling more than anything as of late.  She is a Master Trainer and Teacher for Balanced Body here at the University of Utah and loves sharing her passion with up and coming teachers as they work through the teacher training program.  She also teaches classes for students and community members at the U on Mondays and Wednesdays through the ESSF department.  Come join her for an experience you will never forget as you journey through your body and experience what good movement should feel like - free and painless, supported and strong!  Pilates is a process, begin at the beginning and understand that strength starts at the core. 'You have to have a supported structure to hang those muscles on!'
