About Me
As the program coordinator for EMS continuing education, Mike is the primary contact for continuing education and recertification questions. Mike started his career in EMS more than twenty years ago. He has been an EMS instructor since 2001. In addition to urban 911 response, he has worked in wilderness medicine and technical rescue. Mike has provided patient care in a variety of austere environments ranging from high mountains to desert wilderness. In addition, Mike has years of experience supporting high hazard law enforcement operations as a tactical team paramedic. Mike is a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine, and a professional member of the American Avalanche Association. Mike earned his BS from the Pennsylvania State University, and PhD from the University of Utah with emphasis in EMS education.
