Dr. Randy Carson graduated with a Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy in 1993. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008. He is a Board-certified Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy and is also a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist. Dr. Carson's clinical interests and areas of expertise are in Stroke, Brain Injury, and Amputee care. He is the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education for acute care and inpatient rehabilitation at the University of Utah. He is also the Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation Therapy Coordinator for PT and OT.
Dr. Carson has been a mentor in the Neurologic Residency Program since inception and is a member of the program's leadership committee. As Therapy Coordinator, he is responsible for the residents' smooth transition into the program and from one service to another. He is a big proponent of the residency program and is dedicated to its continued growth and development to ensure it remains an exceptional experience for the residents.
