Dr. Alison Stocking earned her BS in Athletic Training from Brigham Young University in 2006 and her DPT from the University of Utah in 2009. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in Sports PT, a licensed and certified Athletic Trainer, a certified strength and conditioning specialist, and is certified in functional dry needling (Utah). Earlier in her career, Alison worked in Arizona both in outpatient and rehab settings. She also spent 3 years as PT/ATC with a club Rugby team. Upon moving back to Utah, she split her time between acute, rehab, and orthopedics as a per diem therapist with Intermountain Health, the University of Utah, and Salt Lake Regional Medical Center. She fully joined the University of Utah in 2016 as an orthopedic and sports physical therapist at the Orthopeadic Center.

Alison has been involved with creating and implementing a concussion patient referral network within the University of Utah healthcare system, mentoring graduate assistant athletic trainers in the high school setting, and is currently working with multiple fire departments throughout the Salt Lake Valley to create rehab programs for those tactical operators. She also has been invited to be a part of the Team USA Medical Staff for US Figure Skating.

Alison is married and has one son with another little boy on the way. She enjoys running, playing basketball and volleyball, going to amusement parks, and traveling.
