  • No areas of weakness or concern identified

Our Doctor of Occupational Therapy program has achieved a major milestone: full accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education for seven years—the longest term possible for a first-time accreditation.

Even more impressive, the program received this recognition with no areas of weakness or concern, underscoring its commitment to excellence in education, clinical training, and student success.

“This accreditation affirms the strength of our curriculum, faculty, and students,” says Lorie Richards, PhD, OTR/L, FAHA, FAOTA, chair of the Department of Occupational and Recreational Therapies. “We are proud to prepare future occupational therapists who will lead in advancing health and wellness for individuals and communities.”

Beth Cardell, PhD, OTR/L, program director for the OTD program, adds: “This achievement reflects the dedication and collaboration of our faculty, staff, and students. We have built a program that emphasizes evidence-based practice, leadership, and advocacy—skills that will empower our graduates to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those they serve.”
