The supervisory committee should be formed by the beginning of the second semester of study. First, you must secure a committee chair and then discuss recommendations with him/her on which two other faculty members to invite as a part of your three member committee given your likely topic of study.
A hard copy of the Supervisory Committee form must be filled out and submitted to the HKR Graduate Program Manager, Andrea Moss, in HPER N 248 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The form must be signed with the committee member initials or an attached email confirming his/her consent to serve. A combination of both is fine. The department will not accept incomplete forms.
Program of Study
The Program of Study form must be completed by the end of the second semester after your pre-proposal meeting with the supervisory committee. The Comprehensive exam is a "final exam of coursework" in the last semester of study. All master's students will take the CHES exam to satisfy this requirement. You must have completed or be currently enrolled in all core classes to take this exam.
